    TPK Bad Decisions
    TPK Bad Decisions is a 4 person team event. This event is like TPK meets Amazing Race. Once the event starts you go non-stop until your team has completed all the challenges. This is one of the most fun TPK events we put on. There are three types of challenges. Expect all challenges to be based on one of these themes. 1. Just Get It Done: These are simple, you just complete what is required. 2. Pick One And Hope It Sucks Less: You’ll receive two different versions for these challenges. Hopefully you pick the one that “sucks less”. Once completed pay attention for the “U-Turns”. This is where you can have any team behind yours be required to do both versions. 3. Make It Suck Less But First: Before you start the challenge you will have the option to open envelope with a mystery task. If you complete the task, the challenge becomes a little less sucky. You can also “make it suck less” if you have a “fast pass” in your possession. Expect a team pre-race challenge and the possibility of needing to learn a new skill before the event.

    The Mind Miles Initiative
    Our Mind Miles Initiative exists to help bring awareness to Mental Health and the tremendous benefits that being active has on creating a healthier, stronger mind.  We want you to know that you are not alone in this fight, we are fighting with you and for you.  At Root Runners, we believe that there is no greater race than the one for a healthy mind.  We believe that movement can be one of the most impactful medicines for your mind.  It’s a journey that doesn’t happen overnight but one worth fighting for everyday.  From September 10th to October 10th, World Mental Health Day we want to challenge you to lace up and get active for your Mental Health.  Whether you’re walking, jogging or running, start moving like your mind depends on it.  Stay consistent and see just how powerful movement can be.  As if your Mental Health isn’t enough incentive to get going for every miled logged on Challenge Hound we will be donating .5$ cents to The Fund Racing Alliance.  A local non-profit organization sharing our values for Movement and Mental Health and making a huge impact in giving back to the community.  They are funding 6 sessions of therapy for those in need, who cannot receive affordable services with insurance.  If you haven’t yet, get to know them and sign up for one of their races here -> https://thefundracingalliance.org/ Together, lets spread the word and bring awareness to Mental Health.
