Our Mind Miles Initiative exists to help bring awareness to Mental Health and the tremendous benefits that being active has on creating a healthier, stronger mind. We want you to know that you are not alone in this fight, we are fighting with you and for you. At Root Runners, we believe that there is no greater race than the one for a healthy mind. We believe that movement can be one of the most impactful medicines for your mind. It’s a journey that doesn’t happen overnight but one worth fighting for everyday. From September 10th to October 10th, World Mental Health Day we want to challenge you to lace up and get active for your Mental Health. Whether you’re walking, jogging or running, start moving like your mind depends on it. Stay consistent and see just how powerful movement can be.
As if your Mental Health isn’t enough incentive to get going for every miled logged on Challenge Hound we will be donating .5$ cents to The Fund Racing Alliance. A local non-profit organization sharing our values for Movement and Mental Health and making a huge impact in giving back to the community. They are funding 6 sessions of therapy for those in need, who cannot receive affordable services with insurance.
